Birmingham, Alabama, 14 October 2026: The Norton Motorcycles Manx R has officially made its on-track debut in the U.S., completing several laps at the Barber Vintage Festival at Barber Motorsports Park. The popular vintage festival served as the backdrop for Norton Motorcycles to celebrate its rich history in the U.S. and to showcase its new 206-horsepower V4 superbike, the Manx R, as well as its middleweight adventure offering, the Atlas.

The distinctive beat of the Manx R echoed around Barber Motorsports Park as it completed several demonstration laps, allowing attendees to see, hear and experience the award-winning bike firsthand. Following European launches in Spain and Iceland, Norton brought the Manx R and the Atlas to the U.S. for the first time.

“The Barber Vintage Festival is a great way to build excitement for Norton’s comeback to the U.S. ahead of our return early next year,” said Steve Radt, Regional Director Of Sales - USA at Norton Motorcycles. “It’s also an opportunity for fans and potential customers to hear the new V4 powertrain at full throttle on the track. Norton has an incredible history of success in the U.S., both on track and on showrooms. This seems a fitting way to showcase our first production bikes in the country while recognizing so many owners who keep our heritage alive.”

“The event itself is always incredible, but being able to sample the new Norton Manx R on track was the highlight of the weekend”, said Kenny Cummings, Norton classic racer and 4-time AHRMA Championship winner. “It’s an opportunity for passionate Norton enthusiasts like me to get together and celebrate not just our love of Norton but of motorcycles generally. But to see the resurgence of Norton live and here in the U.S. feels like we’re part of establishing the next chapter in that history.”

Motorcycle enthusiasts witnessed the Manx R’s first laps and enjoyed an opportunity to view heritage Nortons on display from all around the country. This dynamic presence marked the next big step towards Norton’s return to the U.S. due to go live in Q1 2027.

The Manx R is one of four models in Norton Motorcycles’ new-generation product line-up and recently won an IDEA award for design. Its modern, reductive design is combined with an all-new V4 powertrain, semi-active suspension, Brembo braking system, advanced rider assistance technology and an 8-inch TFT touchscreen.
